Rose Tuition Online Lesson Policy
Purpose & Scope
This policy sets expectations for safe, effective online learning delivered by Rose Tuition via Lessonspace. It applies to all students (KS2–A-level), parents/carers, and tutors, for both 1:1 and group sessions.
Safeguarding & Child Protection
Always visible & appropriate:
Students should join from a quiet, shared family space (not bedrooms where possible). If a bedroom is unavoidable, the door must remain open and a parent/carer should be within earshot.
Parent/carer presence: For students under 18, a responsible adult should be onsite during lessons (not necessarily on camera).
Cameras on: Video should remain on for tutors and students unless otherwise agreed for a specific accessibility need.
Professional boundaries: Tutors use Rose Tuitionpproved channels only (Lessonspace, email via @rosetuition.com, TutorCruncher messages). No personal numbers/socials.
No recording by users: Students/parents must not record, screenshot, or share lesson content or peers.
Tutor recordings: Rose Tuition may record sessions for safeguarding/quality review with prior notice. Recordings are stored securely, limited-access, and deleted per our retention schedule.
Dress & conduct: Normal classroom standards apply—be appropriately dressed, use respectful language, and maintain a neutral background.
Report concerns immediately: Any safeguarding concern must be reported to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): Danny Rose (backup: Olivia Rose). Contact details are in the Welcome Pack.
